I played Division I baseball at San Jose State University and later signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Braves organization, where I spent five years in professional baseball. I was fortunate to learn from some of the best hitting instructors in the game, including Jay Ward, who served as a big league hitting instructor for the Yankees and Expos and mentored MLB legends like Wade Boggs and Larry Walker. I first met Jay at the Wade Boggs-Jay Ward Hitting School, where I saw firsthand the passion and knowledge he brought to hitting instruction. Through his work with Wade, Larry, and many other big leaguers, Jay passed down a timeless approach to hitting that still applies today.
